A set of tapered metal tubes, usually tin or sheet iron and sometimes many joined in one frame, into which melted wax is poured around a threaded wick to cast a batch of candles at once instead of dipping them one layer at a time. A finished mold is chilled, then dipped briefly in hot water to loosen the candles for release.
